KENTUCKY COLONELS CLUB of NORTH CAROLINA

The mission of the Kentucky Colonels Club of North Carolina is:

  1. To provide sociability among its members, all of whom have , or have had, some connection to the state of Kentucky;
  2. To support the objectives of the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels; and
  3. To provide some financial assistance to local and regional organizations in accomplishing their good works.

The Club membership is concentrated in the Winston-Salem, Greensboro, and High Point area of North Carolina. The Club’s meeting place is the Pine Brook Country Club in Winston-Salem.

For the past several years, dinner meetings have been held each quarter of the year. The day of the Kentucky Derby (first Saturday in May) is the day for officer installations, and the beginning of the new fiscal year. Our Club has evolved into a supporter of local non-profits and we make a contribution to the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels each year. The total gifts have ranged from $500 to $900 per year. It is the Club’s policy to donate the monies left after administration expenses have been satisfied

MEMBERSHIP

Membership in the Kentucky Colonels Club of North Carolina requires that one must be a Kentucky Colonel in good standing. Dues are nominal and the only other expense is for dinner. We have about 50 Colonels in the Club, and our meeting attendance ranges from 30 to 45.
